One dead in Sheboygan County car crash

Sheboygan County authorities are reporting a fatal vehicle crash in their county overnight, Monday, July 20, 2026.

At about 12:20 AM, the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received an automatic crash notification indicating a crash in the area of Garton Road and Bridgewood Road, about three miles west of Howards Grove.

Upon arrival, responders found a single vehicle with a trapped occupant, upside down and on fire in a corn field just east of Bridgewood Road.

Investigation into the crash showed the driver, a 27-year-old from Howards Grove, was traveling eastbound on Garton Road when they crashed.

The driver was declared deceased on scene after life-saving measures were attempted.
