Oshkosh Man In Custody After Fond du Lac County Pursuit

An Oshkosh Man is in custody after leading Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies on a high speed pursuit Monday afternoon.
At 5:21 PM, an officer with the department observed the vehicle southbound on Lakeshore Drive around County Highway N traveling at a high rate of speed.
The officer attempted a traffic stop but the driver reportedly gave the officer the middle finger and sped up and the chase was on.
The officer was able to get the plates on the vehicle and a description of the driver so the decision was made to terminate the pursuit before it got to the Fond du Lac City limits.
The officer continued to follow the vehicle from a distance and the driver made his way to 151 where it proceeded north from Winnebago Drive.
The registration listed to a residence in New Holstein so with the assistance from the Calumet County Sheriff’s Department, a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy made contact at the residence and a search netted the 25-year-old driver from Oshkosh hiding in the house.
He taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on charges of Fleeing/Eluding, 2nd Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, Possession with Intent – THC, and a warrant through the Department of Corrections.
