Oshkosh man sentenced to prison for drugs

A 51-year-old Oshkosh man was recently sentenced to six years in prison on federal drug charges.

Peter Henkle was arrested last year after Oshkosh police executed a search warrant and found over two pounds of cocaine, seven and a half pounds of marijuana, and $321,000 in cash at Henkle’s home.

Henkle was convicted of possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana. Prosecutors say Henkle admitted obtaining and distributing several kilograms of cocaine over the previous two years.

Henkle was ordered to forfeit the cash plus a $50,000 fine as well as vehicles that investigators say he bought with the drug proceeds, including two Harley-Davidson motorcycles, a 2019 Dodge Challenger, and a 2020 Ford F250 super-duty pickup truck.
