Oshkosh Police Investigating Strong Armed Robbery

Police in Oshkosh are investigating a strong armed robbery that occurred early Friday morning. An Oshkosh man was walking south on Nebraska Street near West 16th Avenue at about 12:30 A.M. when he was struck in the head from someone behind him. The victim said the suspect told him to give up his money. The victim refused and was hit again by the suspect with an unknown object. The victim gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect ran off. The suspect was described as a black man with dark clothing. The suspect may have gotten into a vehicle after running east from the robbery, but the victim was unsure. The victim suffered minor injuries, but did not require medical attention.
