Person Of Interest Taken Into Custody In Oconto Related To Green Bay Homicide

Two suspects are in custody related to a triple shooting in Green Bay on December 20th.

One is the shooter and the other was thought to have information on the suspect.

At about 10:00 AM Wednesday morning, January 4, 2023, officers arrived at a home on Smith Street in Green Bay to look for a person believed to have information related to the shooting that killed one person and wounded two others.

The man in question ran into the house when police arrived and refused to come out.

A SWAT team and bearcat unit were set up in a perimeter around the house.

After several hours of negotiating, and the use of tear gas and flash bangs, the man surrendered. But he was not the man involved in the shooting, however he did have warrants for his arrest.

While this stand-off was occurring, police in Oconto County received information, possibly related to the use of a cell phone, that the suspect in the shooting was in a house at the dead end of Pecor Street in the city of Oconto.

Police surrounded the house and the suspect was taken into custody. No details on how the man was caught were available
