Pickup Truck Involved In Accident Near Lomira Had Engine Troubles

Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the pickup truck towing a travel trailer that was hit from behind by a semi truck near Lomira was having mechanical problems. He says it was traveling slowly because it was having engine difficulties. The accident Monday happened on I-41 northbound south of Highway 67. Four children and a 46-year-old woman from Newark, Illinois were injured in the accident. One of the children was a 13-year-old who was flown to Children’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Schmidt says that teen suffered non-life threatening injuries.
