Saturday is busy day for fun activities in Fond du Lac area

The summer festival season is in full effect today in the Fond du Lac area.

North Fondy Fest starts out at 10 AM today in the Village Park and runs through 9:30 tonight. Activities include sporting competitions, food, live bands and kids activities capped off with Fireworks at night.

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States and organizers in Fond du Lac are holding a festival to celebrate the day today. Ebony Vision says the historical festival is a family-filled day of entertainment, poetry, song, dance, children’s activities, and speakers, as well as food and raffle sales that will help Ebony Vision’s annual fundraiser. The festival takes place in Buttermilk Creek Park today from 11 AM to 5 PM.

And the second annual 107.1 The Bull radio station’s Bull Bash happens downtown Fond du Lac tonight centered around live performances by the bands Rumors and Driftwood. The event runs from 5 PM through 10:30 PM and takes place on Sheboygan Street in front of the Thelma Center For The Arts. Cost is $5 with a portion of proceeds going to the organization Salute the Troops.
