Significant amount of drugs found on side of road after high speed chase
Area law enforcement are on the lookout for a blue, four door vehicle that led police on a high speed pursuit yesterday and may be responsible for discarding 10s of thousands of dollars worth of drugs on the side of the road during the pursuit.
Just after noon yesterday, a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper started chasing the vehicle for a traffic infraction, north on 41 from the Fond du Lac, Winnebago county line area. The trooper stated the vehicle was going about 130 mph.
The car exited at Highway 26 and turned east on County N. At this point the trooper lost sight of the vehicle and terminated the pursuit. Within seconds, another trooper in the area saw the vehicle going north on Knapp Road and began chasing it. This trooper also was unable to keep up with the vehicle and terminated the pursuit.
While in the area, one of the troopers found a shoebox that may have been thrown from the vehicle. Upon inspection, the box was found to contain a significant amount of drugs including an estimated two pounds of meth, cocaine, heroin and a brick of an unknown substance taped up.
The car was described as being a unique color blue with tinted windows and tinted tail lights.
