Silica For Your Home Pays It Forward
Silica For Your Home recently hosted their Pay It Forward Event. The event allowed consumers the ability to select their favorite local non-profit organization. Silica then donated 5% of the consumer’s total purchase to that organization. Checks were distributed to over 100 local non-profit organizations. Some of the organizations chosen by Silica’s customers to receive donations included: ARC, Beaver Dam Animal Shelter, Beaver Dam Hospice, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Club, Dodge County Humane Society, FDL Area Foundation, Holy Family Catholic Congregation, FDL Humane Society, Solutions Center, St. Katherine Drexel, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Watertown Humane Society and many more.
Silica has been involved in the Fond du Lac community for 92 years, the Beaver Dam community for 25 years and the Watertown community for 2 years. “Keeping our donation dollars local is important to us because often times those organizations are helping our friends and neighbors” said Tom Schneider, president. “With the economic times currently unstable these organizations surely need all the help they can get, and we are happy to help them when we can” he added.
“This promotion allowed us to help enhance our local community” states Schneider. “We are proud and thankful to be a part of the Fond du Lac, Beaver Dam and Watertown communities and to be able to support local non-profit organizations.”
