Sports – Friday, December 13th, 2013

The Packers will put the final touches on preparation for
the Cowboys on Sunday in Dallas.  It looks like running back Eddie Lacy will
play on Sunday even though he’s hobbled by a sprained ankle.  Mike McCarthy wouldn’t 100% say Aaron Rodgers
would sit out on Sunday but most likely Matt Flynn will get the nod at
quarterback. Coverage begins at 1pm with the kickoff set for 3:25pm on KFIZ.

 

The San Diego Chargers stunned the Denver Broncos 27-20 on
Thursday night football, putting the #1 seed in the AFC in jeopardy in the Mile High
City. 

 

Florida State QB Jameis Winston won the Walter Camp Award as
college football’s player of the year last night.  He also won the Davey O’Brien award as the top
quarterback.  Alabama QB AJ McCarron won
the Maxwell Award as the most outstanding player.  Boston
College’s Andre Williams
won the Doak Walker as the nation’s top running back.  

 

The Bucks are home tonight as they host the Bulls at the BMO Harris
Bradley Center.

 

The Badger men’s basketball team hosts Eastern
Kentucky on Saturday afternoon. Coverage begins at 11am with the
tip set for Noon on KFIZ.  Frank Kaminsky
sat out practice yesterday with a foot injury.

boys basketball team hosts Appleton North tonight at the Acuity
Fieldhouse.  You’ll hear all the action
on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ.  Coverage begins
