–Every Dock Spiders batter recorded at least one hit as Fondy crushed Battle Creek on Sunday afternoon. Brandon Wulff homered and Caleb Summerhays hit a grand slam – his second of the season – in the win for the Dock Spiders. Fondy starter Ryan Connolly allowed just one run on two hits while striking out seven in six innings of work. The Dock Spiders return to Herr Baker Field for their final homestand of the season starting tonight. First up is a two-game series with Kalamazoo, first pitch is 6:35 pm.

–Stephen Souza Jr. hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth to give the Rays the win in the series finale against the Brewers on Sunday in Tampa Bay. Orlando Arcia tied the game at one apiece with a solo home run in the sixth for Milwaukee, who saw Jimmy Nelson carry a strong outing through the eighth. Jacob Barnes then gave up the leadoff homer to Souza to end it in the ninth. Nelson allowed just one run on six hits while striking out nine batters. The Brewers open the border-battle series with Minnesota tonight in Minneapolis, Brent Suter goes for Milwaukee while the Twins counter with Ervin Santana. Coverage begins at 6:35 pm, first pitch at 7:10 on KFIZ.

Brewers starter Chase Anderson will make a rehab start with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers on Tuesday. Anderson has been out since June 29th with a strained left oblique and threw a live batting practice session for the Brewers on Friday. He was 6-2 with a 2.89 ERA in 16 starts for the Brewers before the injury.
NFL:
Just over 63-thousand fans attended the Packers annual Family Night scrimmage at Lambeau Field Saturday night. The Packers will practice at 12:15 this afternoon and will play their first preseason game on Thursday against Philadelphia at Lambeau Field.
A person familiar with the situation says free agent quarterback Jay Cutler has agreed to terms on a contract with the Miami Dolphins. Cutler is expected to compete with Matt Moore for the starting job while Ryan Tannehill remains out with a left knee injury that could sideline him for the entire season. Dolphins coach Adam Gase was offensive coordinator for the Bears when Cutler had a career-best quarterback rating with them in 2015.
NASCAR: Martin Truex Jr. held off Matt Kenseth to win the Monster Energy Cup race at Watkins Glen. Truex assumed the lead and outdueled Kenseth on the final lap in winning for the fourth time this season.
Golf: Hideki Matsuyama fired a 9-under 61 to erase a two-shot deficit and take the PGA’s Bridgestone Invitational at Akron, Ohio. Matsuyama’s 16 under total was five strokes better than Zach Johnson.
