The Chicago Cubs completed
the four game sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers with a 4-3 win at Miller Park
on Sunday.  The Cubs led 4-1 heading into
the bottom of the 9^th before the Crew added a pair of runs to make
it close.  Kyle Lohse gave up four runs
and 9 hits in just four and a third innings of work to see his record drop to
just 5-13 on the season. Clayton Richard went six innings to pick up the win
for the Cubs.  The Brewers open up a four
game set with the San Diego Padres tonight at Miller Park.  Coverage beings at 6:35pm on KFIZ.

After taking Sunday off the
Green Bay Packers are back on the practice field this morning.  The workout is set for 8:20am and will be
open to the public weather permitting.  Green Bay will also
practice at 8:20am on Tuesday, then take Wednesday off and go at 8:20am on
Thursday and Friday before the Family Night Scrimmage on Saturday night at
Lambeau.

 

Cambridge, Wisconsin native Matt Kenseth won the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at
Pocono on Sunday.  Brad Keselowski was 2^nd
and Jeff Gordon was 3^rd.  Eau Claire’s Paul Menard
was 11^th. 

 

Troy Merritt picked up his
first career PGA Tour win with a two-shot victory at the Quicken Loans
National.   Merritt finished the four day
event at 17-under par.  Rickie Fowler
finished two shots off the pace and settles for 2^nd place.

 

Inbee Park became the seventh women in golf history to win four
different Major tournaments after taking the Women’s British Open on
Sunday.
