Girls Track & Field:

The Fond du Lac Girls finished 6th at the Pam Kjono Invite at Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Nicole Lord in the 55 meter and Ally Gietzel in the 400 meter both finish in second place to lead the Cardinals.

In the East Region:

#4 Florida 84, #8 Wisconsin 83

–Chris Chiozza beat the buzzer and sunk the Badgers in overtime in the Sweet 16 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The Badgers found themselves down 12 with 4:31 to play, but rallied to force overtime on Zak Showalter’s three pointer with 3 seconds left in regulation. Nigel Hayes made two free throws to give the Badgers an 83-81 lead with four seconds left in OT, but Chiozza beat the buzzer to give the Gators the win.

Nigel Hayes finished with 22 points, Ethan Happ had 21 points, Zak Showalter 14 for Wisconsin, who finishes the year 27-10. KeVaughn Allen scored 35 to lead all scorers.

#7 South Carolina 70, #3 Baylor 50

–Florida will play South Carolina in the Elite 8 on Sunday.

In the South Region:

#1 North Carolina 92, #4 Butler 80

#2 Kentucky 86, #3 UCLA 75

–North Carolina will play Kentucky in the Elite 8 on Sunday afternoon.

NBA: Milwaukee 100, Atlanta 97

–Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 34 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Bucks outlasted the Hawks in Milwaukee. With the win, the Bucks are now tied for 5th place in the Eastern Conference.

MLB: Cincinnati 12, Milwaukee 11

–Cincinnati scored 2 runs in the bottom of the ninth to win in Cactus League play. The Brewers will face Kansas City this afternoon. Coverage starts at 2:55 on KFIZ.

NFL:

The Green Bay Packers have signed defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois. Jean Francois was drafted by San Francisco in 2009 and has also spent time with Indianapolis and Washington. He has played in 109 regular season games with 35 starts, recording 236 tackles and 12 sacks, while adding another 17 tackles and 1.5 sacks in postseason play. Jean Francois will wear #95 for Green Bay.
