State Patrol Chases Vehicle Through Winnebago County – Twice…

Just before 6:00 AM Sunday, July 23, 2023, a Wisconsin State Patrol Officer attempted to stop a vehicle that was speeding southbound on I-41 in northern Winnebago County. The black Dodge Durango failed to stop, and instead accelerated in an attempt to elude the trooper.

With speeds reaching 110 mph, the pursuit made it all the way through Winnebago County and an attempt at deploying stop sticks in the area of Highway 44.

Shortly after 6:00 AM, the chase entered Fond du Lac County when the driver of the Durango returned northbound after using a crossover in the median of 41.

A couple Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Officers that were set up with stop sticks also joined the pursuit at this time to assist State Patrol.

Another attempt at stop sticks was successful as the driver continued northbound, but the driver continued at high speeds.

Back up in the area of Winneconne Avenue, where the pursuit started, the State Patrol Trooper advised dispatch that traffic was getting heavy and for safety concerns, the chase was terminated.

Officers continued looking for the vehicle but were unsuccessful.
