State Patrol to conduct aerial enforcement in Fond du Lac County Sunday

Plan on seeing extra law enforcement on I-41 Sunday, June 22, 2025, as the Wisconsin State Patrol will be conducting aerial enforcement using a plane to watch for traffic infractions.
The department says aerial enforcement is one way to enhance public safety efforts saying from the air it’s much easier to spot drivers who are speeding or driving aggressively. When a pilot observes a violation, they communicate with ground-based units to initiate a traffic stop.
The State Patrol announces publicly they will be doing the extra enforcement to reinforce their goal to improve safety through voluntary compliance with traffic laws, and not simply to stop and cite drivers.
