Stolen Gun And Drugs Found After City Of Fond du Lac Vehicle Pursuit

The City of Fond du Lac Police Department was involved in a high speed pursuit Sunday afternoon.

At 3:45 p.m. City of Fond du lac Police Department Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle for reckless driving in the area of 1st Street and S. Military Road.

Upon activation of emergency lights, the vehicle failed to pull over and fled.

The vehicle pursuit reached speeds of approximately 40 MPH traveling through areas in the central portions of the City.

During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle hit a fence and then backed into a police department squad car before fleeing again.

A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Deputy joined the pursuit and used a PIT maneuver on the suspect vehicle in an attempt to end the vehicle pursuit.

The suspect vehicle made another attempt to flee from law enforcement, however officers were able to box the suspect vehicle in and conduct a high-risk traffic stop.

The 16-year-old male driver from Milwaukee, and three passengers, a 20-year-year-old Fond du Lac man, a 34-year-old Fond du Lac female and a 16-year-old Fond du Lac man were all taken into
custody.

A stolen firearm was located in the vehicle as well as methamphetamine, marijuana, and various forms of drug paraphernalia and packaging materials.

The investigation into this vehicle pursuit is at the preliminary stages and remains under active investigation. No further details or information are being released at this time.
