Taste Of FDL Draws Good Crowd
About 3,500 people attended the Taste of Fond du Lac Sunday at Oven Island in Fond du Lac’s Lakeside Park. Fond du Lac Festival’s Executive Director Leanne Doyle says rain slowed attendance at first, but eventually they had lines at restaurant and catering business food booths for sampling. Judge’s picked five winners. Crave Gastro Pub of Campbellsport won the Best Appetizer Award for their Crave Curds. The Best Lunch Entrée Award went to Norcino Deli & Charcuterie in Fond du Lac for their Muffulatta bite. Red Cabin at Green Acres In Fond du Lac captured the Best Soup Award for their Homemade Chicken Pot Pie Soup. Ang & Eddies of Fond du Lac won Best Dessert and Red Cabin Best Dinner Entrée. Ang & Eddies won for a chocolate cake and Red Cabin for a prime rib. The People’s Choice Award voting is still being tabulated.
