Teenager In Custody after High Speed Chase on I-41

A 15-year-old
runaway from a Racine County facility was taken
into custody following a high speed chase and that ended with a crash on I-41
Wednesday afternoon. Washington County authorities say
they were alerted by Dodge County deputies to an older tan Toyota driving recklessly southbound on I-41 just
before 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. The license plate came back to a vehicle
reported stolen from Racine. Washington County deputies spotted the car near Highway K
and began pursuit. Speeds reached up to 100 miles an hour. The chase ended when
the boy struck a semi and crashed near Lannon Road in the Village of Germantown. He was turned over to Racine County
deputies, but will face local
charges of operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent, felony eluding and
driving without a license.
