Ten Arrested In FDL Police Drug Sweep
Fond du Lac Police arrested ten people during a drug sweep yesterday. Nine of them were wanted through a joint drug investigation police conducted with the Lake Winnebago Area Metropolitan Enforcement Group-Drug Unit. The 20 officer task force was looking for 17 individuals on arrest warrants. Eight of those individuals were arrested for cocaine trafficking charges and the other two for heroin trafficking. Police Chief Bill Lamb stated, “The Fond du Lac Police Department will continue to aggressively investigate and arrest those individuals who choose to deal illegal drugs in our community.” Lamb says the public’s tips and information has greatly assisted their efforts to investigate and arrest drug dealers. Eight people were still being sought by late yesterday afternoon. Six of those people were from Fond du Lac; the other two were men from Taycheedah and Milwaukee.
