Townline Road To Close At I-41

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is advising motorists of the closure of Townline Road over I-41 starting Monday.

The start of construction on the Townline Road bridge over I-41 in the town of Friendship is the reason for the closure.

The project will consist of replacement of the bridge deck and walls, replacement of roadway pavement approaching the bridge and guardrail on the bridge approach. The deck replacement and approach slab work will provide a smoother ride across the bridge for motorists, increase the usable life span of the bridge while new guardrail replacement will provide enhanced safety to the traveling public.

While Townline will be closed for about 45 days, I-41 will always remain open but may be reduced to one lane in either direction at the overpass during various work operations.
