Two women with drugs apprehended after 10 mile long high speed chase

On Monday, June 30, 2025, at approximately 9:24 a.m., a K9 Deputy from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle with an equipment violation traveling northbound on Interstate 41 near County Highway B. The deputy caught up with the vehicle near the interchange of I-41 and U.S. Highway 151. As the vehicle turned northbound onto U.S. 151, the driver failed to obey a traffic signal.
The deputy initiated a traffic stop, but the vehicle failed to yield and turned onto Camelot Drive, continuing to disregard emergency lights. The vehicle briefly stopped in the lane of traffic on Police Memorial Drive, where the deputy observed the driver and a passenger switching seats. Moments later, the vehicle suddenly accelerated, prompting a high-speed pursuit.
The pursuit continued southbound on Martin Avenue and then southbound on U.S. 151. Based on the vehicle’s movements, responding deputies believed the suspects were attempting to return to northbound I-41. The vehicle did in fact enter I-41 northbound, where another deputy successfully deployed a tire deflation device.
The suspect vehicle slowed and eventually intentionally drove into the east ditch of I-41. Both occupants fled on foot. The original K9 deputy and his partner, along with a second K9 deputy team, pursued and apprehended both female suspects.
The suspects, both from the Keshena area, were taken into custody without further incident.
· The 34-year-old woman, who took over driving during the pursuit, faces the following charges:
o Felony Fleeing and Eluding
o First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety
o Two counts of Resisting/Obstructing an Officer Causing Injury
o Party to a Crime: Possession with Intent to Deliver Schedule I and II Narcotics
o Party to a Crime: Possession of THC
o Party to a Crime: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
o Misdemeanor Bail jumping
· The 42-year-old woman, who was initially driving, faces the following charges:
o Party to a Crime: Fleeing and Eluding
o Two counts of Resisting/Obstructing an Officer Causing Injury
o Party to a Crime: Possession with Intent to Deliver Schedule I and II Narcotics
o Party to a Crime: Possession of THC
o Party to a Crime: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
o Felon in Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
She is currently on probation for disorderly conduct and possession of narcotic drugs and had previous convictions of felony elude and numerous drug related charges.
Two deputies received minor injuries in the incident and the 34-year-old female driver sustained minor injuries related to the foot pursuit. No property damage was reported to Sheriff’s vehicles in the pursuit which spanned 10.6 miles. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Wisconsin State Patrol, North Fond du Lac Police Department, and the North Fond du Lac Fire/EMS services.
