USPS To Increase Cost Of Postage

The United States Postal Service has announced a price increase for first class stamps.

The new price which goes from .60 up to .63 goes into effect Jan. 22, 2023.

Postage for post cards will also be increasing from .44 to .48.

Postal Service users can save some money by buying forever stamps before the new prices take effect. Forever stamps are currently .60 and can be used even when the cost of postage
increases. Forever stamp prices will also increase to .63 starting January 22.

The postal service says as operating expenses continue to rise, these price adjustments provide much needed revenue to achieve the financial stability sought by its Delivering for America
10-year plan.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies solely on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
