Waupun Fire Department Called Out For Early Morning Dumpster Fire

At 5:06 a.m. on Tuesday, June 6, Waupun Fire Crews responded to W7080 Fox Lake Road in the Town of Chester for a dumpster fire burning in close proximity to a home.

Upon arrival, a 22-foot yard dumpster was found to be fully engulfed in fire.

First arriving crews confirmed the home was empty and were able to quickly knock down the fire before it spread to the nearby garage.

No firefighters or individuals at the scene were hurt during the incident. Damage to the garage was contained to melted siding.

The fire investigation is ongoing but the fire is not considered suspicious.
