Winter Storm Warning For Saturday Night!!!
...WINTER STORM WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FOR SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY... .FOR THE REST OF THIS AFTERNOON...LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND DRIZZLE WILL COME TO AN END BY EVENING AS LOW PRESSURE PASSES BY TO THE SOUTHEAST AND MOVES AWAY FROM THE REGION. THEN A QUIET PERIOD RETURNS FOR THE REMAINDER OF TONIGHT THROUGH MOST OF SATURDAY. ATTENTION WILL QUICKLY TURN TOWARD THE WINTER STORM EXPECTED TO HIT THE AREA SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL STRENGTHEN RAPIDLY AS IT SHIFTS NORTHEAST FROM ARKANSAS TO THE CENTRAL GREAT LAKES SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY. THE LOW WILL BRING AMPLE AMOUNTS OF MOISTURE INTO THE AREA AND LEAD TO THE POTENTIAL FOR HEAVY SNOW OVER PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN WISCONSIN. WIDESPREAD AMOUNTS OF 6 TO 9 INCHES ARE EXPECTED WITH SOME AREAS POSSIBLY GETTING MORE. WE WILL BE KEEPING AN EYE ON THE FAR SOUTHEAST AS THERE IS SOME POTENTIAL FOR WARMER AIR TO BRIEFLY SNEAK INTO THAT AREA...BRINGING A WINTRY MIX FOR A TIME SATURDAY EVENING. THIS IS BY NO MEANS A CERTAINTY...BUT WOULD RESULT IN SOME LOWER SNOW ACCUMULATIONS THERE. ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM SATURDAY TO 6 PM CST SUNDAY...
