Wisconsin politician mentioned on assassin’s list

U.S. Sen. Tammy Baldwin’s office confirmed that the Wisconsin Democrat was on a list of names kept by the man accused of shooting two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses on Saturday.

Senator Baldwin was informed by law enforcement that she was included on the shooter’s list of names which was said to have as many as 70 Democratic prominent state and federal lawmakers and community leaders, along with abortion rights advocates.

Baldwin said She’s grateful for law enforcement’s swift action to keep the community safe.

After Saturdays two separate shootings, Minnesota officials said they conducted the largest manhunt in the states history with over 100 detectives and members from 20 SWAT teams being involved.

The shooter, 57-year-old Vance Boelter, was apprehended Sunday night near his home about 25 miles southwest of Minneapolis.
