Wisconsin Sees First Human West Nile Case of 2018
Health officials are reminding people to take precautions to avoid mosquito bites – after the first confirmed human case of West Nile virus in the state this year. A resident in Dane County has been infected with the virus. A majority of human cases around Wisconsin happen during August and September, but the risk of mosquito-borne illnesses is present any time they are active.
