Woman accused of robbing bank was on probation for… robbing banks

A Dane County woman seems to have not learned her lesson that stealing is bad.
38-year-old Lisa Harding is accused of robbing an Associated Bank in Fitchburg Wednesday, February 21, 2024, and attempting to rob the Old National Bank in Madison earlier that same day. All while being on extended supervision for bank robbery.
Officers located Harding the following morning but she tried to elude them with her vehicle. Pursuing officers used tire deflation devices on her car and she was eventually stopped and taken into custody.
Harding had been incarcerated in 2016 after being convicted of three counts of Robbery of a Financial Institution as a repeat offender. Harding had also been arrested for retail theft six times in 2016 as well according to court records.
She was released from the Taycheedah Correctional Institution in 2022 after her successful completion of the Earned Release Program there.
Harding now faces charges of Robbery of a Financial Institution, Eluding and Recklessly Endangering Safety. This is on top of a hit and run causing injury charge Harding also has pending in Dane County.
