Zoning Variance Request Approved for Possible Meijer

The Fond du Lac Board of Appeals is approving a zoning variance request – which could allow for the construction of a Meijer supercenter on Forest Mall property. The mall owner reportedly plans to demolish part of the building between the former Younkers and Staples for the addition. Plans for development could be released within a few weeks – and construction could begin already next year. A gas station and extra convenience store are also in the works for the out lot of the potential Meijer building.
