Drowning In Private Pool In Town Of Byron

A 58-year-old rural Fond du Lac woman drowned in her pool Monday. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials got a call to W7168 Briar Court in the Town of Byron shortly after 4:30 Monday afternoon. Tammy K. Eichhorn was found in the pool and was unresponsive. Resuscitation efforts by first responders and bystanders were unsuccessful. The incident is still under investigation, but the cause of death is believed to be accidental drowning. Also responding to the scene were Oakfield First Responders, City of Fond du Lac Paramedics, and the County Medical Examiner’s Office.
