Mountain Dog Media Official Contest Rules

The following rules apply in contests or promotions associated with News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB, which is owned and operated by Mountain Dog Media Inc. By participating in such contests or promotions, participants agree to be bound by these rules. In addition, particular contests and promotions may have rules that are specific to those contests and promotions. If the particular rules for a specific contest or promotion conflict with the following general rules, the particular rules will control.

No purchase necessary to win.

Limit one winner per household on any and all contests every 30 days on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB. In the event a winner cannot accept prize or does not pick up a prize for any reason, that winner remains ineligible for the 30-day period. Only one grand prize (a prize worth $200 or more) may be won by the same person every 12 months. If you win a prize over $200 you are not eligible to win again on any Mountain Dog Media station for one full year.

Employees, former employees, their immediate families, and/or those living in the same household of News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB or any affiliate of Mountain Dog Media, Inc. their subsidiaries or any and all sponsors affiliated with the contest, or other radio stations or media outlets are not eligible to win News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB contests.

Prizewinners must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible for contests that are not affiliated with an alcoholic beverage manufacturer or distributor, or that include hotel accommodations and/or air travel.

Prizewinners must be 21 years of age or older to be eligible for all contests affiliated with an alcoholic beverage manufacturer or distributor.

All contestants must be residents of the state of Wisconsin and must provide News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB with a valid photo ID and possibly a Social Security number in order to claim prize.

Odds of winning a contest are dependent upon the number of eligible entries received. News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB and Mountain Dog Media Inc. and their subsidiaries and affiliates and their respective directors and employees are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, malfunction, defect or delay of any kind in telephone calls, radio transmissions, or online or Internet submissions or for the failure of News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB to receive telephone calls for any reason or for any computer or software malfunction of any kind affecting the proper execution of the contest.

Unless otherwise stated, multiple entries by the same person will be discarded and may be deemed cause for disqualification.

Due to the nature of our programs that are heard online www.kfiz.com, www.107thebull.com, www.950thegame.com over the Internet, contests heard on the radio station’s Internet audio stream are slightly delayed from the time the contest is heard on the broadcast station, and will be running behind the broadcast signal. Thus, all contests heard are delayed. This delay can last for 30 seconds up to several minutes. This means that when News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB announces it’s time to call to play the contest, listeners on the online audio stream may be at a disadvantage in participating over those listeners who hear the contests on a conventional AM and FM radio.

News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value; winners do not have any right to substitution of prizes.

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash or any other prize/merchandise.

Where a prize consists of tickets for a sporting event, concert, movie, play or similar event, News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB will not be responsible for cancellation. In that event, the winner must deal exclusively with the promoter of the event.
News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB makes no warranties regarding the safety, condition, or fitness of any prize awarded, and will not be responsible for any loss, damage or injury suffered by a winner and any parties thereof, through the use of any awarded prize.

Winners are solely responsible for all taxes, duties, or other costs that may be associated with the winning of a prize.

A 1099 MISC Form will be filed with the Internal Revenue Service for each winner who over the course of the calendar year has won prizes with a total value of $600 or more on either News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB. All local, state, and federal taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

To receive a prize, winners may be required to complete and sign an affidavit of eligibility/prize acceptance form, present a government issued legal picture I.D. (such as a driver’s license), and submit their social security number to News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB within 5 days of winning. Prize must be claimed in-person by the winner at the News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB offices located at 254 Winnebago Drive, Fond du Lac, WI, 54935, during regular business hours Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. (except holidays when the office is closed). If the I.D. does not contain their current address, the winner must also present a piece of mail addressed to the winner at his/her current address with an official USPS postmark stamped within 30 days of winning the contest. If winner sends someone in their place to claim prize that person must have written permission from winner to claim the prize in winner’s absence, winners photo Id and social security number.

Any prize not claimed within 5 days of winning will be forfeited by the winner and will remain the sole property of News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB will not notify winners of time remaining on prizes to be picked up. It is solely the winner’s responsibility to claim their prize within the 5-day time limit specified.

Anytime you call the News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB studios you assume that your call will be broadcast or recorded and you grant us permission to broadcast the call or record it for later broadcast on News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB and on the station’s Internet stream at www.kfiz.com, www.107thebull.com, www.950thegame.com

Participating in a News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB contest and/or accepting a prize constitutes permission to the sponsor, radio station, and its agencies to use the participant’s and winner’s name and/or likeness for promotional, broadcast, Internet, advertising or trade purposes without further compensation.

All entrants must follow the “call to action” entry instructions and submit any requested information. By submission of a text entry in a promotion, entrants hereby expressly consent to the receipt of a confirmatory bounce-back message related to the specific contest. For text message contests, message and data rates may apply. Text message and any mobile device entry entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the mobile account submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the text or mobile telephone number by the telecommunications provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning such numbers. Multiple entrants are not permitted to share the same text or mobile phone number. Use of any device to automate entry is prohibited. Proof of submission of any entry shall not be deemed proof of receipt by station. The contest administrator’s computer us the official time keeping device for the promotion.

News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB reserves the right to disqualify any winner if any contest rules are violated in any way.

As a licensee of the FCC and trustee of the public airwaves, News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB reserves the right to interrupt and/or discontinue any contest or promotion (and not award the offered prize) at the discretion of News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB management if world events, the national mood, special programming of any kind, or public safety so warrant.

By participating in any contest, entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the judges.

News-Talk 1450 KFIZ, 107.1 The Bull & WCLB reserves the right to amend the Official Contest Rules to any contest at any time.
