Two Charged in Clyman Prostitution Case
A
man says he is “not guilty” of allegedly paying a woman to perform sex acts on
him at a Clyman strip club back in September. 64-year old Joseph Brown and
25-year old Shirley Quinn of
misdemeanor count related to prostitution in
Sheriff Dale Schmidt was reportedly in full uniform conducting a routine bar
check at the Hardware Store club when he claims he caught the two in the act in
a private room. Brown continued to deny the accusations – but admitted to
giving her extra money to help her out.
Both of them have a one-day jury trial
set for December 11th, and face nine months in prison if convicted.
Schmidt
expressed concerns over links to sex trafficking, especially after another man
charged with Sex Trafficking in April reportedly used the same club to force
women to perform sexual acts for money that he kept.
