Rolling Meadows Adds FootGolf

Rolling Meadows Golf Course in Fond du Lac officially opened
a FootGolf course on Tuesday.   FootGolf
combines soccer and golf and is played to basically the same rules as regular golf.  Players use a #5 soccer ball and try to get
the ball in a 21 inch hole.  Rolling
Meadows Golf Pro Jeremiah Hoffmann says holes range from 60 to 120 yards for
par 3s, 120 to 150 yards for par 4s, and 180 to 200 yards for par 5s.   Rolling Meadows currently has a nine hole,
par 36, course open for play that is spread over the front nine of the golf
facility.  They have plans to add another
nine holes by next year.   Hoffmann says
that they hope the new course will bring more people of all ages out to the
course,  who maybe are not traditional
golfers.  In the future they have hopes
of organizing FootGolf tournaments and leagues.
Rolling Meadows is the 240th course in the United States sanctioned
by the American FootGolf League.
Hoffmann thinks the only other FootGolf course in Wisconsin is in the
LaCrosse area. For more information on FootGolf at Rolling Meadows visit their
