Wanted Man Captured In Garage After Hour Long Standoff With Police

For the second time in as many days, the Fond du Lac Police Department was involved in a standoff in the city.

Around 4 PM, Friday, April 7, 2023, police responded to an unrelated call in the 100 block of central Avenue. While on that call, they saw a man police knew had a felony warrant enter a garage in the area. Police ordered the man to come out but instead he barricaded himself inside.

Officers from the police department as well as Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office converged on the scene while trying to get the man to come out.

A drone was used to fly into the garage to see where the man was hiding.

After about an hour, the officers moved in with weapons drawn and took the man into custody without incident.

The 41-year-old suspect was arrested on charges of felony bail jumping, resisting, and the felony warrant and is held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.
