10th Year of “Small Business Saturday” is Today
After getting big deals on Black Friday, shoppers are asked
to make a “big impact” on their community by participating in Small Business
Saturday today. It’s the 10th year of the event, which was created
by American Express. Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate small
businesses and the impact they have on their communities. The Better Business
Bureau of Wisconsin is among the groups encouraging people to “Shop Small”
today – and support the local economy. Experts with the BBB say researching
shops nearest to you, connecting with those businesses on social media, and
inviting friends and family to “shop small” with you are all important to
helping those small businesses this holiday season.
