122 people to lose jobs as Charter Communications in Fond du Lac to close regional support center

Charter Communications, the telecommunications company known more recently as Spectrum, has announced they plan to lay off 122 employees at its support center in Fond du Lac.

According to a letter submitted to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development, Charter Communications stated that it will be closing its Regional Support Center, located on Knights Way in the industrial park on Fond du Lac’s south side.

The company says the permanent layoffs will begin on August 27.

This comes less than a month after Mercury Marine announced the layoffs of close to 300 employees at it’s Fond du Lac location.
