17-year-old man charged after short pursuit north of North Fond du Lac

A 17-year-old man was takin into custody overnight, Friday, August 28, 2026, after a brief pursuit out of North Fond du Lac.

At 9:19 p.m., a North Fond du Lac Officer attempted to pull a vehicle over for doing 46 mph in a posted 30 mph in the village.

Once the officer caught up to the vehicle on Van Dyne Road, the vehicle accelerated in an attempt to elude the officer.

After briefly reaching speeds of 108 mph, the driver pulled over on Van Dyne Road north of Subway Road.

A high risk stop was performed and the driver was taken into custody.

According to jail records, the man was taken to the Fond du Lac County Jail and charged with fleeing /eluding, underage alcohol consumption and driving while intoxicated.
