Two FDL Males Arrested Following Pursuit
An early Sunday morning pursuit ends with two people being arrested.
Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted a traffic stop Sunday morning, December 12, 2021 at approximately 12:16 a.m., on a vehicle for a speed violation.
The vehicle was traveling roughly fourty five miles over the posted speed limit on Winnebago Dr. at Luco Rd. in the Town of Taycheedah.
Once the traffic stop was attempted, the vehicle increased its speed, continuing eastbound on Winnebago Dr. The vehicle continued for approximately 2 miles before it came to a stop. The driver remained with the vehicle while the passenger fled on foot. The driver was taken into custody on scene; the passenger was identified and contact was made at his residence in the City of Fond du Lac.
The driver was identified as a 17-year-old male from Fond du Lac. He is being charged with felony fleeing/eluding, operating under the influence of a restricted controlled substance, and received citations for possession of marijuana and speeding. The passenger was identified as a 17-year-old male from Fond du Lac, is being criminally charged with obstructing an officer, and received a citation for underage drinking.
There were no injuries or property damage as a result of the pursuit.
