18-year-old Milwaukee man found dead in Oakfield gas station bathroom
On Monday, April 6th, at approximately 1:38 PM, a Village of Oakfield police officer was requested to check on a citizen at the Clark Gas Station that had been in the bathroom for a significant period of time.
The officer gained access to the bathroom and found a male subject unresponsive with significant injuries. The officer requested additional units along with
Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office.
Once Deputies and Detectives arrived, they observed the male subject had a serious head injury and was pronounced deceased by on scene EMS personnel. Initial on scene investigation showed the male subject suffered what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The subject was identified as an 18-year-old male from Milwaukee.
The case remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and the Fond du Lac County Medical Examiner’s office.
There is currently no threat to public safety and the investigation remains active. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Oakfield Police
Department, Oakfield First Responders and Lifestar EMS.
