1st Degree Attempted Homicide charge requested in Landlord/Tenant dispute

An update to a story we brought you Tuesday where a landlord and tenant got into a physical altercation in rural Campbellsport, resulting in the landlord being thrown over a railing receiving life threatening injuries.

According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, just before 5 PM, they responded to the scene and as a result of an investigation, discovered evidence and developed probable cause to determine the 39-year-old man who was the tenant, was the aggressor and responsible for causing the injuries.

He was taken into custody and is currently being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail.

A 1st Degree Attempted Homicide charge is being forwarded to the Fond du Lac County District Attorney’s Office. Additional charges may be forthcoming.
