20th trucker’s convoy for Wisconsin Special Olympics to take place Saturday, September 14th

The annual truckers convoy for Special Olympics will take place this Saturday and organizers are looking for more trucks and drivers to take part in the event.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the fund raiser that has a convoy of trucks that run from Fond du Lac to Oshkosh.

The day starts at 6:30 AM with registration and a breakfast at the Mercury Marine plant in Fond du Lac. At 7:30 opening ceremonies take place and at 8:15 trucks will start heading out in groups of 25, and end at the EAA grounds in Oshkosh.

From 9-11 there will be a bags tournament, music, raffles and family fun at the EAA grounds with a lunch being served at 11.

On ramps to I-41 along the route will be closed while semis are passing so plan accordingly if traveling on to the interstate around that time frame.

The fundraiser helps the more than 7000 Wisconsin special Olympics athletes.

If you want to take part in the convoy, register here.
