22 Dead Cats Among 72 found in Dane County Home. Humane Society Asking For Help

The Dane County Humane Society was called to a hoarding situation where 72 cats were found in a home. 22 of them dead.

The humane society is asking for donations to help care for the cats in their care. They said it needs to raise $7,500 to provide urgent medical care to all 50 cats.

The shelter is an open admission shelter, which means it “accepts all animals regardless of age, health status or temperament.” Some of the cats have significant health issues,
while some have been under-socialized.

Donations can be mailed to, or dropped off at, Dane County Humane Society’s main shelter at 5132 Voges Rd., in Madison.
