22-year-old Milwaukee man arrested in Fond du Lac County after motorcycle chase

A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was booked into the Fond du Lac County jail with a felony charge of fleeing and eluding yesterday after running from law enforcement on a motorcycle.

At about 6:30 last evening, a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Deputy observed a motorcycle driving without plates on I-41 northbound near Hickory Street. The deputy attempted to stop the motorcycle but the driver increased their speed and a pursuit was initiated.

Due to speed and erratic driving, the deputy terminated the pursuit after a couple miles near the North Fond du Lac exit.

About a half hour later, a Fond du Lac County Deputy observed a motorcycle matching the description from the original pursuit on Pioneer Road near Melody Lane. The deputy attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle and the driver came to a stop inside the entrance to the Ashwood Grove mobile home community.

The motorcycle had fresh damage and the driver had injuries consistent with a crash. The driver was taken into custody after admitting that he was the suspect from the earlier pursuit and had crashed after the pursuit was terminated.
