25 charges placed against woman who caused mayhem in Downtown Fond du Lac

Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney announced that Kaitlynn G. Ray has been charged with 25 counts stemming from an extremely dangerous felony eluding in downtown Fond du Lac Friday night, May 30, 2025, at approximately 6:37 p.m.
Ray is alleged to have been traveling approximately 80 mph in a 25 mph speed zone, endangering the public, pedestrians, and motorists in the area. Numerous injuries occurred, damage to vehicles, and the safety of many others was endangered, with two vehicles catching fire. The State requested $500,000 cash bond, which was ordered by Judge Tricia Walker. The preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 18 at 9:00.
District Attorney Toney stated “The danger to the public was extreme with the defendant alleged to be driving a vehicle approximately 80 mph, essentially becoming a missile down Main St., in a heavily populated area, endangering the lives of pedestrians and motorists. Our $500,000 cash bond request reflected the need to protect the public and ensure the defendant makes all future court appearances. The defendant is presumed innocent unless or until proven guilty.”
The charges include First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety– Repeater, Felony Eluding – Repeater, Felony Bail Jumping – Repeater, Operating while Under the Influence of an Intoxicant – Causing Injury, Operating After Revocation, Possession of THC – Repeater, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Repeater.
This case is being investigated by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by District Attorney Eric Toney.
