3-5 Inches Of Snow Possible With Approaching Storm

An approaching winter storm is taking aim on the fox valley in Wisconsin starting Wednesday night into Thursday.
The winter storm system is what weather men call a pan handle hook storm because it moves east from the four corners region of the southwest, over the pan handles of Texas and Oklahoma where it taps into gulf of Mexico moisture and then hooks north up towards the great lakes states where the moisture falls as snow.
Timing of the storm looks to start bringing snow to southwestern Wisconsin Wednesday night and then it will overspread into the Fond du Lac area overnight. The heaviest snow looks to pass just north of Fond du Lac.
Forecast models at this time are showing 3-5 inches of a wet snow falling through Friday, but as with all winter storms, the slightest change of the path of the storm can alter snowfall totals greatly so this total may change.
