41 (I-894) in Milwaukee County to close this weekend

If you have plans to head to Milwaukee or farther south this weekend, you need to know that Highway 41 in Milwaukee County, also known as the 894 bypass will have a full 54 hour closure.
The closure starts at 11 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2025, and is scheduled to go through Monday morning at 5 a.m.
During that time, the highway will have a full closure starting just south of the Zoo Interchange, which is the junction where I-94 goes east to Downtown Milwaukee and west to Madison.
The closure continues south on 41 to 76th street and also branches out to I-43 south towards New Berlin.
Motorists are encouraged to use the marked detour which runs south bound, Greenfield Avenue west to Highway 100 (also known as 108th street), south to Layton Avenue, east to 76th street north back to the highway.
The closure is part of ongoing construction to resurface that part of the highway.
