71-year-old woman intentionally hits person with car during intoxicated road rage incident
A 71-year-old woman in Dane County has been arrested after a road rage incident had her intentionally ramming her vehicle into another person.
The incident took place on Thursday afternoon, November 7, 2024 in Madison when police say the two drivers were having a road rage incident, brake checking each other on Highway 12. The two exited onto Gammon Road where one of the drivers exited their vehicle and started taking photos of the 71 year old’s vehicle.
That’s when the woman accelerated and struck the person taking the photos.
When police arrived, they found the 71-year-old was intoxicated and was driving with an open container of alcohol in her car. She was arrested and charged with 2nd-degree recklessly endangering safety,
first-offense OWI, and a ticket for having an open container of alcohol in her vehicle.
