81-Year Old Strikes Dollar General In Ripon

Earlier this week we told you about the car that almost turned the Subway on Fond du Lac Avenue in FDL into a drive thru. Thursday afternoon, it almost happened again, but this time in Ripon. 

Ripon Police were notified just before 2:00 p.m. of a vehicle that struck the Dollar General located in the 700 block of East Fond du Lac St. The 81-year old driver of the vehicle was attempting to park her car, when she stepped on the gas instead of the brake. The driver of the vehicle was not injured, but both the vehicle and the building received extensive damage. While repair work will be needed on the building, Dollar General did remain open for business.
