Semi Fire Backs Up I-41

Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue responded to a semi on fire on Interstate 41 right at Highway 151 Thursday, September 15, 2022.

The Fire, which was called in to Fond du Lac County Fire Communications Center at 1:40 PM, was contained to the cab which was completely destroyed.

Traffic was stopped on the interstate while crews battled the blaze which caused a back-up on the southbound side of I-41 all the way back to Military Road.

Assisting with traffic was the Wisconsin State Patrol and Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the semi was able to make it out of the truck.
