Officer Injured In Arrest Of Wanted Fond du Lac Man
The Fond du Lac Sheriff’s Office and Fond du Lac Police Department joined forces yesterday to find a man wanted for a domestic situation.
After running the suspects name, it was learned he already had a couple of warrants out for his arrest.
An attempt to locate was issued and soon after, the vehicle was spotted driving on 3rd street near Marr.
Officers initiated a traffic stop on Park Avenue and the vehicle took off in an attempt to elude.
A short pursuit took place and the driver then ran from the car after he turned onto 3rd street.
An officer chasing the man deployed a tazer on the suspect and he was taken into custody.
During the turmoil of the arrest, a county officer received a cut to his finger and an ambulance was called for his injury, as well as the suspect who was tazed.
On top of the three warrants the 29-year-old man had, he was arrested with new charges of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, felony possession of THC, and resisting arrest.
