Milwaukee Hires Adrian Griffin as Head Coach

The Milwaukee Bucks have hired a new coach according to numerous reports. The former Toronto Raptors assistant, Adrian Griffin, will roam the Bucks’ sideline next year.

Griffin replaces Mike Budenholzer, who was fired following five seasons with Milwaukee after the team was upset in the first round of the playoffs to the Heat. Griffin has spent the past 16 seasons as an assistant coach for five different teams, including for the 2019 NBA Champion Raptors. He began his career as a Bucks assistant from 2008 to ’10.

Many names were considered for the vacancy, but after former Raptors head coach Nick Nurse pulled out it left just two candidates. The other finalist was Kenny Atkinson current Golden State assistant.
